Meet the people who make our market happen
Jessie rae arguelles
Jessie Rae is a long time local, born and raised in Telluride. Her formative years were spent skiing and competing. In 1994 Jessie Rae left Telluride to attend private school, then college and travel. Unable to ignore her love for the mountains of Telluride she returned in 2002, purchasing what’s now Wizard Emporium and Custom Framing, which she runs with her family. You may also have seen her at the Telluride Jazz Festival where she was the Director of Operations & Sponsors. Most recently she was working for San Miguel County’s election department as a supervisor.
Shortly after Jessie Rae’s daughter was born in 2011 she joined the Telluride Farmers’ Market Advisory Board as the Customer Representative. Her desire to spend more time with her family and be engaged hands-on in the community inspired her to leave her desk job and take on a bigger role with the Farmers’ Market. Jessie Rae is passionate about what the Farmers’ Market represents and its contribution to the community of Telluride and the surrounding area.
assistant market manager
Edith Willey is a Colorado transplant originally from the Midwest, which she left in 2014 due to its severe lack of mountains. Prior to her move, she attended Kenyon College in central Ohio, where she worked for several years with the college's Rural Life Center, sourcing local food for the on-campus dining hall and spearheading weekly promotional events for the Mount Vernon Farmers' Market. She has been passionate about local food ever since, and is excited to bring that passion to her work with the Telluride Farmers' Market.
Edith moonlights as a visual artist, and in her spare time she can be found painting, drawing, and experimenting new media in her studio. She can't imagine a more beautiful and inspiring place to work and live than Telluride, CO.
